HAPPY 60th BIRTHDAY, MOM!

The 60 years old birthday is the huge celebration for Korean culture, just like sweet 16. So, we must celebrate a huge party for my mom. Her real birthday is on April 22nd in Lunar Calendar. She was born on March 1st. :) Lunar calendar is complicated, huh? I am sometimes confused and tried to figure out when her birthday is. ughh

Yesterday, my brother hosted the Chinese-Korean style restaurant for mommy's birthday. I truly love Chinese-Korean style restaurant, so good! you guys haven't tried that place, I highly recommend you! :D I ordered the HUGE spicy seafood noodle soup, but the creepy waiter gave me an ugly look -.- I am sure he thought I could not finish that bowl of spicy noodle soup, OH REALLY? -.- just because of my looks, oh great... I know that waiter since I was younger but how could he not recognize that I've always ordered the huge bowl of spicy seafood noodle? -.- I ate all of it! and even other main dishes to share with. In the result, I went to bathroom then saw the waiter and told me "oh you ate all of it! wow wow!" I was like .... hehe yeah...-.-

After dinner, I asked my brother what I should get for my mom. "get her a cake!" I said, NO WAY! it's cheapass! end up, my brother bought the cake for her. I didn't get her anything, ugh... 

Wanna know what gifts my mom got?!  

- my elder aunt who dearly loves my mom got her $700 middle-age clothes. really NICE! I love her clothes. it's made by my godmother. its hard to explain how it looks like.. good for going to wedding, party, and other special occasions! 

- My uncle&aunt in law got her a nice necklace! cute cute! 

- I think my 11 years old cousin, Jessica is crazy, but she looks up to my mom ever since she was baby because she feels that my mom is her own mother. but.. she got her $50 gift card. it shows how much she loves my mom. i was like "you gotta save up for your future, why spend on my mom?!"

- my grandma who gave my mom away to my mom's aunt who was able to take of my mom. -.- now everything is past. she got her $200 cash ahaha. (:

WANNA KNOW what my mom got?! it is exactly what I want since two years! 

- my older cousins got my mom LOUIS VUITTON purse! WTHECK! I was more shocked than other gifts like my eyes opened widely! In addition, they wrote the card to my mom. it touched my heart that my mom is like a second mother to them because my elder aunt wasn't able to take care of them. My mom looked after my cousins and make sure they are okay just like her own children. She treats them nicely than my elder aunt, I witnessed tehehe. Moreover, whenever my cousins had hard time, they came to my mom and needed her advice. I am thankful for them being able to love my mom. In the end, my mom is the most awesome and caring aunt to them on the card. :D I love them! 

.... what about me? I did not get her anything. I am such cheapass! ): I am such horrible daughter.. ughh.. okay okay, I will order the bouquet of flower and make a delivery on my mom's real birthday! TONIGHT TONIGHT, research! that way my feeling of guilty will be gone.. -.-

March Sickness

I am sorry for such procrastinating. here I am! i miss you, blogger! I am done with my exams, thanks god! unfortunately, I got sick starting yesterday but I don't blame on anyone who got sick, even my roommate. I accept the sickness and do not complain about it (: I will feel better before I fly to chicago! otherwise, I would be pissed off and waste the worth of my time.

anyway, get to the point, I went nuts because I have my friends and family who were born in March. crazyy! Still, I would be happy for the ones whom I love.
Last Thursday, I was disappointed in myself that I was not able to be there for my cousin's real birthday whom I love the most. even though I was there for her last Sunday for her early birthday party, I was still not satisfied with the early birthday date because it was way too early. :/
Last Friday, I had my friend, desiree's birthday party at clubbing, but i missed out in half of time, damn it. At least, I was here for my friend's birthday. <3

This Sunday, I will have my mom's birthday party, but I am having a hard time what I will get for her. I sometimes wish I would be like my brother because he WILL host the party at Korean BBQ restaurant and invite my entire family and mom's friends. I don't want to brag about my brother, but he is the best son to my mommy. I am truly happy that my brother is such a great son to my mom after through her hardships and no more fights between them. -.- i hope so aha
